Position Overview
MES is looking for an experienced IT Hardware Engineer with over 5-7 years of professional experience to lead IT infrastructure and technology-related projects. The ideal candidate should possess strong technical expertise in hardware systems and IT infra management.
Key Responsibilities
IT Infrastructure Management
- Oversee the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of IT hardware, including servers, desktops, laptops, printers, and network devices.
- Ensure the availability, reliability, and security of IT systems during various projects.
- Plan and manage IT hardware deployment for event-specific needs, including live streaming, broadcasting, and digital connectivity.
Leadership in IT Projects
- Taking initiatives and Lead IT-related projects while working as a team player.
- Ensure the successful execution of all technology-dependent tasks, trouble shootings including event management systems and audience engagement platforms in various projects.
Support & Training
- Provide on-site and remote technical support to MES staff and event personnel as and when required.
- Train team members on using IT systems and applications to optimize productivity and performance.
Qualifications & Skills:
Mandatory Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 -7 years of experience in IT hardware management, including troubleshooting and repairs.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in managing IT infrastructure for various IT related projects.
- Familiarity with live streaming technologies and other developments in the field of IT.
- Certifications in IT (e.g., CompTIA, CCNA) is preferred.
- Open to work in diverse, multicultural environments, especially in Africa.
